Christopher Mitchell was born and raised in Belleville, IL. A graduate of Signal Hill School and Belleville Township High school West he went on to Belleville Area College, now SWIC, to study Business. After a few semesters he decided cooking is what he wanted to do so he studied and got his degree at Baltimore International Culinary. While there he started the student council and was elected as president. He traveled to Ireland for International Culinary study. After graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management he did a Fellowship and later stayed on as staff at the College to work as an assistant to a Chef Instructor. The highlight of his stay on the east coast was working for a caterer who catered a party at the U.S. Capitol Building for D.C. dignitaries.

He was instrumental in the start-up of several restaurants. He worked and managed various restaurants on the east coast, St. Louis, and metro-east, including is own business and catering co. After many years in the restaurant life he was looking for something different. He wanted to enjoy more time with his family and friends. He did not want to work every holiday, weekend night and wanted a more one on one approach with people. Plus he wanted to get out of the hot kitchen.
Christopher looked around and decided that he would join the business that he grew up in...Real Estate… Chris’s Mother has been in Real Estate most of his life. Chris grew up answering the calls, going with his mother to pick up keys from office to office, putting up open house signs, meeting Brokers, Lenders, and other Agents. Yes he was a “real estate kid”. He took the license class and became an agent and joined Home Buyers Relocation Services as an exclusive buyer’s agent where his mother has her license.  He now is a broker at Concept Real Estate Co. Inc.
Quickly after joining the board he decided to join the different task forces and became involved as much as he could. Chris understood that the board is essential in the support and advancement of Real Estate and Realtors in the area as well as state wide and the entire nation. Chris believes in integrity, honesty, and equality for all. Those are the beliefs that he takes to the table as a Director of RASI. He would like to take it a step forward and work hard and represent the members on the association as Secretary/Treasurer. Chris knows the sacrifice but also the benefits. He realizes the times are changing and that it is a new day with the fast pace of technology and the change of business practices. Chris believes that these changes can be embraced and melded with the personal way of doing business. We all need to meet each other and become more involved. Getting to know your fellow agents and peers in the association is a way of breaking down barriers and making it easier to work for a common goal...the public.
Christopher Mitchell  believes he has knowledge, personality,  integrity, honesty, sense of humor, dedication, and the support of family, friends, and other members to help and continue the great work this association has done and will continue to do in; the future as times change and membership grows and falls, the association is our constant.
